Three Alabama firms win $126 million in DOD contracts

Contracts were awarded to B.L. Harbert International, Intrepid LLC and Torch Technologies

Three Alabama companies won major Department of Defense contracts for a variety of work for the U.S. Army.

B.L. Harbert International, based in Birmingham, won a $94.6 million contract for design and construction of four igloos, a parking area, a storage facility and yard for aircraft support equipment storage and a missile assembly shop. The work will be done at Tyndall Air Force Base in Florida.

Intrepid LLC, of Huntsville, was awarded a $21 million contract modification for system engineering and technical assistance at various locations.

Torch Technologies, also of Huntsville, was awarded an $11 million contract modification for continuing simulation support work. Work will be performed in Huntsville.

Both the Huntsville contracts are from the U.S. Army Contracting Command based at Redstone Arsenal.
