Saraland has opened its new 95,000-square-foot municipal complex, which will house the mayor’s office, city council chambers, municipal court facilities and building inspection department. The Saraland Area Chamber of Commerce also has relocated to the facility.

Located along Highway 43, the city purchased the property for approximately $4.6 million and invested an additional $2 million in renovations, funded through municipal bonds.

“This building represents how far Saraland has come — and the bright future ahead,” said Mayor Howard Rubenstein. “This new municipal complex is not just a building — it’s a long-term investment in our city’s future. It brings together key city functions and provides the space we need to better serve the residents of Saraland in the years to come.”

The facility includes updated technology, enhanced security measures and improved accessibility to meet the needs of the community.

“We’re excited to welcome the public and invite everyone to visit, connect and engage with city services in this new space,” Rubenstein said.
