Children’s of Alabama is state’s top children’s hospital

UAB Hospital tops U.S. News & World Report’s list of best hospitals in Alabama, with eight of its specialties nationally ranked.

UAB’s nationally ranked specialties are cardiology & heart surgery (31st); diabetes & endocrinology (40th); ear, nose & throat (22nd); geriatrics (36th); obstetrics & gynecology (5th); pulmonology & lung surgery (50th); rehabilitation (20th); and rheumatology (10th).

The rest of the top 4 hospitals in Alabama are Huntsville Hospital, Ascension St. Vincent’s Birmingham and DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.

Children’s of Alabama at UAB ranked as the top state children’s hospital and the top regional children’s hospital in the Southeast.
