Troy Regional Medical Center
Troy Regional rebranded this year with a new logo and slogan, “Healthcare Close to Home.” Such close-to-home service has been provided by Troy Regional for 55 years across seven counties.
In addition to emergency and acute care, the facility is licensed for 97 beds, offering pain management, surgical services, pathology, a medical detox unit, a senior behavioral care unit, a sleep medicine center and an in-hospital rehabilitation service. In addition, an extensive range of outpatient services, both diagnostic and treatment, is available. These include primary care, orthopedics/sports medicine, an infusion therapy center, diagnostic imaging, wound care and hyperbaric medicine.
Troy Regional was named a Top 100 Rural and Community Hospital by Chartis in both 2025 and 2026, the only Alabama hospital to earn this achievement.
Troy Regional is owned by the city of Troy and operates under the direction of the Troy Hospital Health Care Authority board. The facility employs more than 30 physicians, surgeons and advanced practice providers, and more than 350 full- and part-time employees.
The Pike Medical Foundation (PMF) is a 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to enhance the operations of Troy Regional Medical Center by providing external financial support to facilitate the various needs of the medical center and to aid in communicating to the citizens of Pike County care benefits offered by Troy Regional Medical Center.
Since 2013, PMF has raised and contributed almost $750,000 to Troy Regional to purchase new equipment and support new services. PMF funds assisted in renovating the Center for Infusion Therapy and the Women’s Diagnostic Center, and they helped replace surgical laparoscopic instrumentation in the hospital’s surgical services area.
PMF also provided $70,000 to purchase a camera for the Nuclear Medicine Department that is used for cancer detection, cardiac imaging and abdominal imaging. Funds also have helped with renovations in the sleep medicine center and nurses’ stations throughout the hospital.
Medical Center Barbour
Established as Salter Hospital in 1930 and at its current location since 1953, Medical Center Barbour has long served Barbour County and neighboring communities. Located in Eufaula and rooted in patient-centered care, MCB is noted for its skilled team, providing high-quality treatment to all.
Services include laboratory and radiology, emergency care, surgical and inpatient services, plus a senior behavioral health unit.
Its mission is to deliver safe, high-quality, cost-effective care that meets community needs.
In mid-August, East Alabama Health announced it was taking over management of the hospital on Oct. 1.
Bullock County Rural Emergency Hospital
Bullock County Rural Emergency Hospital cares for more than 12,000 patients each year, supporting the health and wellness of Bullock County and surrounding communities.
Core services include 24/7 emergency care, an on-site laboratory and radiology with X-ray, CT, nuclear stress testing, pulmonary function testing, ultrasound and more. On-site physical therapy also is available.
The hospital provides comprehensive care for every stage of life.
