Birmingham-based Robins & Morton has completed a freestanding emergency room for AdventHealth Daytona Beach in Port Orange.
The nearly 18,000-square-foot center features 24 beds in all private rooms. Opened to the public last week, the facility will serve patients 24 per day, seven days a week.
“We’re proud to bring new emergency care to the Port Orange community,” said Angel Colon, project director for Robins & Morton.
HuntonBrady Architects, with offices in Orlando and Tampa, Florida, served as project architect.
This is one of several AdventHealth freestanding emergency rooms recently completed by Robins & Morton. These include AdventHealth Westchase, near Tampa, and AdventHealth Brandon. AdventHealth Belleview and AdventHealth Clermont are currently under construction, expected to be complete in fall 2021.
While Robins & Morton does quite a bit of health care builds, it also constructs commercial and government sector buildings, as well.
