Birmingham-based Robins & Morton and BayCare Hospital Wesley Chapel recently celebrated the opening of the $246 million Florida hospital.
The Florida facility is an 86-bed, 318,000-square-foot hospital that includes emergency department services, operating rooms, catheterization labs, intensive care unit, diagnostic services and imaging.
“Building this new facility will bring more healthcare options for the people of Pasco County and increase their care access,” Robins & Morton Senior Vice President Bruce Adams said. “We’re proud to have a small part in that effort and to have delivered the project under budget.”
Robins & Morton served as general contractor on the project, BayCare’s 16th hospital.
“We can’t believe the day has come,” said Rebecca Schulkowski, president of BayCare Hospital Wesley Chapel. “We are proud of our team and grateful to everyone who has welcomed us to this community. We are eager to help serve patients and their families and meet their health care needs.”
