Premier Tech has announced a $33 million investment to expand its Montgomery facility for its Systems and Automation business group. The group specializes in design and manufacturing of end-of-line packaging and palletizing solutions. The expansion will allow the company to increase capacity and optimize their facilities.

Construction is underway on the new 100,000-square-foot facility that is expected to open in 2023. Once open, it will employ 180 people.

“The design of our new plant will allow an increase in production capacity that will sustain our future growth. It will also allow us to better serve the American market,” said André Noreau, president and CEO of Premier Tech Systems and Automation. “Not only will the team members have a world-class manufacturing environment, but this new plant will become the cornerstone of equipment manufacturing and client solutions in the United States.”

Montgomery Mayor Steven Reed said, “We are grateful for a global company like Premier Tech who has committed to invest in Montgomery and deepen their roots with innovative end-of-line packaging and the creation of new jobs for our community.”

Premier Tech operates in 28 countries, employing 5,200 team members. It serves several market sectors including horticulture, agriculture, home and garden, automation and efficiency enhancements to manufacturing facilities and water management, treatment and recycling.
