Graham & Company, a Birmingham based commercial real estate firm, is transitioning to its next generation of leaders. Matthew Graham will assume the role of chief executive officer while Henry Graham II will assume the role of president and chief development officer.
“After 45 years of leading Graham & Company, we are thrilled for the next generation of leadership to continue Graham & Company’s entrepreneurial spirit and drive the firm’s continued growth with integrity and passion,” said Mike and Steve Graham, who are founders of the company.
Matthew Graham will lead the firm’s vision and strategy while promoting the firm’s brokerage services. He joined the firm in 2018 as vice president of corporate strategy and investments. Prior to his time with Graham & Company, he worked for Eastdil Secured in Washington, D.C., where he contributed to the closing of more than $3.4 billion of commercial real estate debt, equity and joint-venture transactions. He holds an MBA from the University of Virginia and received his bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University.
“I am eager to partner with Henry Graham to lead the company’s continued growth for decades to come,” said Matthew Graham. “This transition allows our firm to leverage its past success while looking towards the future to further our long-term goals.”
Henry Graham II joined the company’s property management division in 2012 and quickly identified construction management and development as an area within the company where he would bring the most value. He stepped into the role of vice president of development in 2018. In his new role, he will continue the company’s development and construction management efforts, while supporting the firm’s growing property management division. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Washington & Lee University.
