Mac Caddell has been named chief executive officer of Caddell Construction, succeeding Eddie Stewart, who served as CEO from 2012 until the end of 2023.
“I have watched the growth and maturity of so many leaders at Caddell, and none has been more special than Mac,” Stewart said. “I truly believe he has a vision for the future of this company that will serve us well for many years to come.”
Caddell has worked for the Montgomery-based company since he was a teenager, initially cutting grass and working in the warehouse during summer school breaks. He graduated in operations management from Auburn University.
Caddell praised his predecessor, who joined Caddell in 1983.
“Eddie started in the house with my grandparents,” Caddell said. “He knew what we could become, and he was committed to making it happen. … It truly is a special honor to take the helm of the company my grandfather founded and Eddie led with such incredible skill. I will continue to lean on all they’ve taught me through the years to ensure their legacy and commitment to integrity, strategic growth and The Caddell Way remain the bedrocks of our culture.”
