Urban Engine, a Huntsville nonprofit accelerator for STEAM-focused innovation and entrepreneurship, has named Lacey Reinoehl as its incoming executive director.
In addition, Urban Engine has resumed in-person programming, including CoWorking Night at the downtown space.
Reinoehl is an entrepreneur herself, having co-founded the software company Lojix and owned the technical solutions firm Zaros Labs.
“After a tedious two-year period due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Urban Engine is thrilled to regain momentum under Lacey’s leadership,” said Toni Eberhart, Urban Engine board chair. “Her vision, passion and energy for shaping the future of Huntsville’s entrepreneurial and innovation landscape is an inspiration. We are extremely excited for our next chapter and grateful to the Urban Engine community for continuing to show enthusiasm for the important work we are doing to draw positive attention to the Huntsville startup scene while creating equitable, accessible opportunities to participate in Huntsville’s economy through entrepreneurship.”
Reinoehl said her new position “speaks to my passion, skillset and guiding principle, that all people should have equitable access to opportunity to pursue their passions.”
CoWorking night continues on June 15 at 5:30 p.m. featuring a panel talking about “The Future of Huntsville.”
Innovate Huntsville is located at 228 Holmes Ave. NE in downtown Huntsville.
