Birmingham-based Hoar Construction is increasing its Florida footprint and opening a second office in Tampa.
The Tampa office will be the company’s 10th office nationwide and will help Hoar serve clients and projects in the Tampa and Sarasota areas.
“Our clients’ needs drove us to West Florida,” said Hoar Senior Vice President Michael Parks. “With an influx of recent work in the Sarasota and Tampa area, we knew it was in the best interests of ours and those we serve to have a permanent presence in the area, and we could not be more excited to be a part of this fast-growing region.”
Though it had clients in Florida dating back to the 1960s, Hoar first opened an office there in 1998.
Focus on the Tampa area began in 2021 with the hire of Matt Valentine as project executive, who will guide the new office.
“Tampa is home,” Valentine said. “I am thrilled to be spearheading this growth of the Florida division and our company, as well as being a part of the growth in the area.”
