Doster Construction is no stranger to Huntsville, having built a number of projects in the area over the years including LG Electronics’ advanced solar module assembly plant and International Diesel’s engine assembly plant.
Earlier this month, the company expanded on its operations in the Rocket CIty by opening its new office at 408 Franklin Street Southeast.
Currently, the company has more than $200 million of work in progress, including Huntsville projects the Eclipse at City Center, a mixed-use development; Novare Madison apartments, mixed-use development Constellation; the Village at Hays Preserve apartments; and a new eye surgery center.
“We wanted to create a local presence for our clients and expand our reach in Huntsville,” said Walton Doster, president and CEO. “We’re excited to become a part of the thriving Huntsville community.”
The Huntsville division will be headed by Conn Crabtree, an industry veteran with more than 21 years of experience in health care, commercial, multifamily, hospitality and institutional construction.
“The growth in the Huntsville area is a natural fit for Doster’s strengths — health care, multifamily, commercial and industrial construction,” said Crabtree, who holds the title of vice president and operations manager for Huntsville. “Doster has worked in the Huntsville area for more than two decades, and we’re excited to plant roots and continue building relationships in North Alabama.”
