Birmingham-based Doster Construction has completed work on Encompass Rehabilitation Hospital of Toledo, which is now open to patients.
The new facility has 40 patient rooms, a therapy gym and courtyard, as well as day rooms and dining facilities.
Encompass offers care for patients with debilitating illness and injuries, such as strokes, brain injuries and spinal cord injuries, providing physical, occupational and speech therapy and nursing.
Doster, with more than 50 years of experience in health care construction, is listed among the nation’s top health care builders by Modern Healthcare Magazine.
Encompass Health, also based in Birmingham, operates 136 rehabilitation hospitals, plus home health and hospice services, in 39 states and Puerto Rico.
