David Sturdivant will be new president of Russell Lands

Tom Lamberth remains as executive chairman

David Sturdivant will be the new president of Russell Lands effective Jan. 1.

Tom Lamberth is stepping down as CEO and president of Russell Lands, and David Sturdivant will be the new president effective Jan. 1.

Sturdivant’s roles since joining the Alexander City development company have included chief financial officer.

Lamberth joined Russell Lands in 1982 and will become executive chairman of the company’s board of directors.

“It has been a wonderful journey for me, and I look forward to continuing my service as executive chairman,” Lamberth said.

Richard Langford, currently controller at Russell Lands, will become chief financial officer. Evan Wright will take over as controller.

Russell Lands owns, manages and develops residential and commercial real estate, primarily along Lake Martin’s 41,000 acres of water and 880 miles of shoreline.
