Capstone Building Corp. is developing a $20 million single-family rental project, Heartsease Shallotte, in Shallotte, North Carolina and has started construction on the second phase of the Warner Robins Redevelopment Plan – Gateway Pointe – in Warner Robins, Georgia.

The 83-unit Heartsease Shallotte will feature luxury craftsman-style cottages, offering residents single-level living spaces with garages, private yards and driveways, along with three acres of community green space, a clubhouse and fitness center, walking trails, a swimming pool and game courts.

“We are pleased to announce the start of this new luxury craftsman-style community with developer EYC Companies,” said Jay Chapman, president and CEO of Capstone Building Corp.

The cottages will range from 650 to 1,600 square feet and feature stone countertops, stainless-steel appliances and 10-foot ceilings. The residential community is scheduled to be complete in early 2022.

In Georgia, Capstone is working with Pennrose LLC and Kitchen & Associates on Gateway Pointe, which will consist of four buildings — 96,356 square feet — of mixed income apartments. The complex will have 90 units divided into one-, two- and three-bedroom options, along with a community garden, wellness room, computer room, fitness room and a community patio with a pavilion.

The project is part of a collaboration with the Georgia Veterans Education Career Transition Resource Center (VECTR), which will offer housing and onsite learning experiences for active-duty military personnel and veterans.

“We are continually thankful and proud to be selected by longtime partner, Pennrose, to collaborate and assist them in delivering high-quality projects to the Warner Robins area,” said Chapman. “Additionally, we are equally as grateful for the continued opportunity to collaborate with VECTR to offer affordable but high caliber housing options for the Warner Robins community and we’re thrilled to continue to do so in phase II.”

Gateway Pointe is expected to be complete in September.
