BL Harbert International broke ground last Friday for a new condominium project on Perdido Key. Birmingham developer Ron Durham and Better Homes and Garden Real Estate|Main Street Properties are partnering on the development.
The tower, with 27 condominium units, will be set on 195 feet of beachfront between Orange Beach and Pensacola. Individual units will range from 2,469 square feet to 3,049 square feet.

Portico LLC Manager Jim Rein added: “This will be a development of unsurpassed beauty and elegance. Our goal is to have 27 owners who are so proud of their new homes as they enjoy one of nature’s loveliest seaside vistas.”
Portico at Perdido marks the team’s third such project on Perdido Key, said developer Ron Durham. “Portico at Perdido joins Palacio and LaPlaya among an elite list of condominium addresses previously developed on the Key.”
Construction is slated for completion in December 2022.
