Birmingham-based Evernest, a national real estate firm, has acquired Atlanta Property Management Group.

The purchase adds about 230 homes to Evernest’s Atlanta portfolio. The company now manages more than 11,500 properties nationwide.

“We are really excited to continue to expand our Atlanta footprint,” said Matthew Whitaker, Evernest founder and CEO. “A deeper Evernest in the market allows us to provide better service for the Atlanta investors we serve and also gives our fantastic residents more homes to choose from.”

Atlanta Property Management is Evernest’s 27th acquisition and its sixth within the past six months.

“Our goal is to find best-in-class property management providers in select markets who are ready to exit the industry,” Whitaker said. “We take the legacy they’ve built and infuse it with our distinctive culture — which includes a boots-on-the-ground team, in-house brokerage services and in-house underwriting — and provide a national, world class, property management experience for our owners and residents.”
