Nine startups will compete for $75,000 in the Alabama Launchpad Cycle 3 2024 competition.
Finalists were selected in two categories, the concept stage (with a top prize of $25,000) and the seed stage (with a top prize of $50,000). The finalists will compete in December at an event in Birmingham.
Here are the Alabama Launchpad finalists:
Concept Stage
- Nyad – A Birmingham company with wastewater treatment software.
- CLEO Education – A Hoover company with a web app that helps health care students practice interpreting diagnostic tests.
- Homepoint – A Birmingham software company with a platform for home buyers and sellers.
- ConekPro – A Birmingham company with software for service-based businesses that streamlines project management, networking and vendor vetting.
- Forsee – A Prattville company producing fire-resistant materials to increase heat resistance and improve fire safety.
Seed Stage

- Huntsville Magazine – A Huntsville company offering content across print and digital platforms.
- Student Seats – A Pelham-based platform for college students to trade student-section sports tickets.
Since 2006, Alabama Launchpad, a program of the Economic Development Partnership of Alabama in partnership with Innovate Alabama, has funded 121 startups, awarding more than $6.3 million in funding.
