Recover Now, a provider of addiction treatment services, is opening its first Alabama campus in McCalla, a $2.2 million investment. The full-service sober living residence and an adjacent partial hospitalization program facility will provide addiction care for adult men.
“Our Central Alabama campus allows us to bring our proven approach to addiction treatment to a new community, providing men the structure, therapy and support they need to build a lasting recovery,” said Michael Grammas, executive director of Recover Now Sober Living Programs.
The campus consists of two main buildings — a PHP center with eight offices and three group therapy rooms and a sober living house with 25 beds and eight bathrooms, plus a commercial gym. The property also features a large kitchen space, outdoor amenities designed to support wellness and reflection, a fishing pond, a 1.5-mile walking trail, a commercial fitness gym, ping pong and pool tables and group therapy spaces.

“This location provides patients with separation from their usual environment, allowing them to focus fully on recovery,” said Gina Thompson, clinical director for Recover Now Central Alabama campus.
This marks the company’s fifth facility and first in Alabama. Recover Now also has locations in Georgia and Louisiana. The company is headquartered in Birmingham and offers a full continuum of care for substance-use disorders, including medically supervised detox, residential rehabilitation, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, outpatient therapy and aftercare support.
