Leaders of Birmingham’s World Games 2022 have confirmed the event ended with a $14 million deficit. Nick Sellers, World Games CEO, says the group is working to raise funds through public and private partners to satisfy all of the Games’ debts. – Fox 6

 

Birmingham software company sold to Georgia group

MAU Inc., based in Augusta, Georgia, has acquired Birmingham-based Doozer Software. Doozer will join MAU’s technology solutions division, 3Ci. Doozer was founded in 1997.  – Cision

Artemis headling to launch pad ahead of schedule

The Artemis I rocket, largely designed at Huntsville’s Marshall Space Flight Center, is rolling out to Kennedy Space Center’s Launch Pad Tuesday night, two days ahead of schedule. The four-mile journey from the Vehicle Assembly Building to the launch pad will take about four hours.  – News 19

 

Frontier ending Alabama flights

Frontier Airlines is ending its Huntsville to Atlanta service in April and Huntsville to Denver service Oct. 3, leaving it with no service in the state. The airline once flew out of Huntsville, Birmingham and Mobile.  – AL.com

 

Regions supports New York building initiative

Regions Bank’s Affordable Housing Division is supporting a building project in Brooklyn, New York, by arranging $62 million in equity. The Help USA project will result in two apartment developments that will help house the homeless. The more than 250 apartments will have 154 set aside for individuals who meet homeless and substance abuse criteria. – BusinessWire
