Wetumpka welcomes tourists after HGTV show

Wetumpka, which was featured on HGTV’s “Home Town Takeover,” is seeing an influx of tourists because of the popular TV show. Twelve renovation projects were featured in the town, and now tourists from all over the country are coming to see what they saw unfold on TV. – Alabama NewsCenter

 

Farley upgrade increases output, reliability

Siemens Generation Services and Southern States Millwright Regional Council millwrights replaced 40-year-old machinery during an upgrade of Unit 1 at Farley Nuclear Station near Dothan. The project increased the plant’s output by more than 26 megawatts and improved its reliability.  – Bic Magazine

Jim ‘N Nick’s plans expansion

Birmingham-based Jim ‘N Nick’s Community Bar-B-Q plans up to 30 new restaurants in the next three years. The first five will be two in the Birmingham area and three in the Atlanta area. All of the expansions are likely to focus on Alabama, Georgia and Tennessee. – Birmingham Business Journal

The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama has announced the 2021-2022 class of Leadership Tuscaloosa. The 41-member group includes business people, educators and others. – Patch
