Virtual School’s Cool New Home in Daphne

The Baldwin County Virtual School now has a home base in Daphne.

A part of the Baldwin County Public Schools, the program opened in 2013 for motivated independent learners who need flexible personalized learning experiences available online. In 2018-2019, 346 students were enrolled in the virtual school.

Those students attended class for testing at three Coastal Alabama Community College campuses, Gulf Shores, Fairhope and Bay Minette. Now, the school will have a home base to go along with those locations.

The 22,000-square-foot building in Daphne has three conference rooms, two classrooms, a large classroom for daily testing use, a large area for standardized testing and the latest in technology. Fourteen offices for teachers, administrators and staff also are on the premises, along with a café area for student breaks.
