Venue2, a new coworking space and event space, has opened in Gadsden. The space, in the same building as the multi-use space called The Venue, is on the banks of the Coosa River. The Venue2 was created out of 7,000 square feet of unused space. – Bama Buzz

Empty school to become nonprofit center
Vestavia Hills Elementary Central, vacant nearly five years, has been sold to a couple planning to turn it into a hub for nonprofits. The school and the office building in front of it sold for $1.2 million. The renovated school will be called Hub in the Hills. – Bham Now

Slice Pizza & Brew opening Homewood location
