Helena company fined in worker death

A Helena company has been fined more than $400,000 in the 2017 death of an employee. The fines were levied in U.S. District Court after ABC Polymer pleaded guilty to violating safety regulations that led to the death. – AL.com

Two attorneys being inducted into Alabama Women’s Hall of Fame

Alice Lee, sister of Harper Lee and a longtime attorney in Monroeville, and Mahala Dickerson, Alabama’s first Black female attorney who practiced both in Alabama and Alaska, will both be inducted into the Alabama Women’s Hall of Fame. Dickerson died in 2007 at age 94, and Lee died in 2014 at age 103. – Bama Buzz

 

Colorado senator wants meeting about Space Command move to Alabama
