HPM will oversee program management for UNA stadium

Birmingham-based HPM will serve as program manager for the University of North Alabama’s new Bank Independent Stadium. The stadium, which is in the design phase, is targeted for completion during the 2026-27 school year. – University of North Alabama

Miles gets first NSF grant

A $300,000 grant to study bacteria found in the West Fowl River watershed of Mobile County is Miles College’s first grant from the National Science Foundation. The grant was awarded to Nikaela Flournoy, an assistant professor of biology. – Birmingham Times

McIntosh business makes holiday donation

The owners of McIntosh’s Optimized Technical Solutions are giving more than 200 hot meals and $10,000 in gifts to needy residents. In addition, the company will donate to McIntosh Elementary, McIntosh High School and the McIntosh Volunteer Fire Department. – News 5
