Sanders Capital Partners buys Illinois property for $4.1 million
Birmingham-based Sanders Capital Partners has purchased a 21,152-square-foot retail center in Champaign, Illinois, for $4.1 million. Champaign Station, home to eight tenants, is Sanders’ first acquisition in Illinois. – Sanders Capital Partners

Atlanta company buys Tuscaloosa-area car washes
Atlanta-based Mammoth Holdings has acquired two express conveyor carwashes from Fast Trac Express Car Wash locations in Tuscaloosa and Northport. Mammoth is the eighth-largest express conveyor car wash operator in the U.S. The deal does not include Fast Trac’s three car washes in Madison County.  – Cision 

Peco Foods closes three Mississippi plants
A “company-wide repositioning” at Tuscaloosa-based Peco Foods will result in the closure of three Mississippi locations. At the same time, resources will be invested in West Point, Mississippi; Sebastopol, Mississippi; and Pocahontas, Arkansas. An 83-year-old company, Peco Foods employs 7,000 people at poultry processing plants in Alabama, Arkansas and Mississippi. – Peco Foods
