Encompass Health among Fortune’s ‘Most Admired’
Birmingham’s Encompass Health joins the ranks of Apple, Amazon and Microsoft on Fortune’s Most Admired Companies list for 2021. The largest owner of and operator of rehabilitation hospitals in the U.S. Encompass ranked 136th overall on the list and fourth in the health care category. UA survey: Business leaders optimistic about 2021 economy
Based on surveys conducted in December, Alabama’s Business Confidence Index rose about a point from the survey the quarter before it. Montgomery hoping to begin riverfront trail work
Montgomery hopes to begin construction this year on a mile-long Riverfront Greenway Trail, a walking and biking trail that starts at Riverfront Park. It’s being built with a $640,000 Transportation Alternative Program Grant from the Alabama Department of Transportation. – Alabama News Network
Pinnacle sets job fair next week in Demopolis
Vancouver, Canada-based Pinnacle Renewable Energy, whose subsidiary Alabama Pellets is building a $95 million wood pellet production plant in Demopolis, is holding a job fair on Thursday, Feb. 25. The drive-thru fair will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Demopolis City Civic Center. – AL.com
