Alliance aims to strengthen construction workforce
An alliance of state agencies, nonprofits and other entities are banding together to address the issue of finding skilled labor in Alabama. AlabamaWorks! announced the Alabama Construction Workforce Alliance, which currently consists of the Alabama Associated General Contractors, the Alabama Roadbuilders Association, the Alabama Workforce Council, the Alabama Construction Research Institute and Auburn University. – Construction & Demolition Recycling

U-Haul purchases Mobile retail center
U-Haul has purchased St. Francis Plaza on Government Street in Mobile for $2.4 million. U-Haul will use the vacant spaces as leases expire in the nearly 74,000-square-foot facility. – AL.com
