A union vote at Starbucks in Scottsboro resulted in a tie, though challenged votes might tell the tale. Results were eight in favor and eight against the union, with four ballots challenged. The National Labor Relations Board will investigate the contested ballots in the coming days.  – Alabama Political Reporter

 

Indiana company buys Alabama group

Eko Solutions, a subsidiary of Indiana-based Land Betterment Corp., has purchased Decatur-based CSI Equipment Sales LLC in a $6 million stock deal. CSI provides specialized metal fabrication for the automotive industry and military, among others. – Inside Indiana Business
