Huntsville-based Sexton Welding Supply Inc. has been purchased by American Welding & Gas. Sexton, started in 1972, has three locations in Alabama and Tennessee. AWG is one of the nation’s largest producers and distributors of industrial, medical and specialty gases.  – American Welding & Gas

Manufacture Alabama endorses Katie Britt

Manufacture Alabama, a trade association for the state’s manufacturing industry, has endorsed Katie Britt in her run for senate in 2022. Britt previously was president and CEO of the Business Council of Alabama. – Alabama Political Reporter

 

Nashville-based dessert restaurant opening first Alabama location

The Peach Cobbler Factory, based in Nashville with locations in 10 states, will open its first Alabama location in Huntsville in spring 2022. The location of the restaurant has yet to be determined. – WAAY 31

Good Dog Park and Bar will be Alabama’s first combination dog park and bar, offering a place for dogs to run and owners to socialize. The complex will include fenced-in green space for dogs and a small bar offering beer and wine. — Opelika-Auburn News
