This week’s episode of the Business Alabama podcast features Matt Pierce, founder and CEO of Immediate, a service that allows employees access to wages they’ve earned but not yet been paid.
In just about two years, Birmingham-based Immediate has grown and become available to employees of 175 companies in 46 states. Immediate allows employees to withdraw money they’ve earned – and it will be taken out of their next paycheck.
“I believe the way that we’re doing this is extremely responsible, and it’s allowing people a way to access their own money versus turning to others,” says Pierce.
The company has seen 430% growth since January, and Pierce believes that’s only the beginning.
