Podcast: Dothan native Izell Reese on his NFL career and bringing youth sports, attached to pro leagues, via his RCX Sports

Izell Reese walked on to play football for the University of Alabama at Birmingham, and he walked off to a seven-year career in the NFL.

Now, the Dothan native is bringing the youth sports that shaped him to youngsters around the country as CEO of RCX Sports, which manages youth sports leagues that are attached to professional leagues (think NFL Flag Football).

Reese’s company has recently cut a deal with the Alabama Recreation and Parks Association, and there are other exciting things in the works with RCX.

On the podcast, Reese talks about all of that and more, including his impressions of Protective Stadium, the Birmingham venue that UAB Football now calls home.
