Kratos will add jobs at Birmingham facility

San Diego-based Kratos Defense & Security Solutions Inc. announced plans to add 76 jobs and make $8.6 million in capital investments to its new Birmingham facility over the next five years. The announcement came at the Farnborough Airshow in the U.K., where Alabama’s Department of Commerce has a team promoting Alabama business opportunities. – Made in Alabama

Toys “R” Us returning, including to Alabama

Toys “R” Us will be opening in every Macy’s store in the U.S. by mid-October, which would include the Macy’s at the Riverchase Galleria in Birmingham. The iconic toy store closed the last of its two physical stores in the U.S. in January 2021. – NBC News

 

Mobile’s Park West sells for $30.75 million

Park West, a 45-year-old apartment complex off Hillcrest Road in Mobile, recently sold to Tampa-based Morrison Avenue Capital Partners for $30.75 million. The new owners plan to upgrade the 278 units.  – AL.com
