Genesee & Wyoming is now the sole owner of Central Gulf Railcar Services in Mobile. The ownership change is part of the deal, finalized Tuesday, to bring Grupo Mexico Transportes in as a partner on the CG Railway Mobile-to-Veracruz, Mexico, rail ferry service. – Yahoo Finance

Mobile International Airport celebrates construction milestone

The new terminal at Mobile International Airport, which will serve the region’s commercial passenger traffic when complete, celebrated placement of the last steel beam with a beam-signing ceremony Wednesday. Officials expect the new terminal to be open by November 2025. – Mobile Airport Authority

Auburn working to protect us all from cyberattacks

In the past few years, Auburn has developed programs that seek to protect everything from GPS to telecommunications to the power grid, food and elections safe from cyberattack.
