Huntsville’s IXS Coatings, a maker of high performance, proprietary protective coatings for automotive, manufacturing and industrial operations, has named Barry McConway as its new president.
McConway will be responsible for the global leadership and strategic direction of the company’s executive management and operational strategies for its brands.
“I am energized by the opportunity to bring new leadership to the company,” said McConway. “This is an extraordinary time for the company, and I look forward to building the next phase of IXS Coatings.”
Prior to assuming the role of president, McConway served as executive vice president of IXS Coatings and Ultimate Linings LTD, where he provided strategic direction of corporate finances, human resource policy, procedures and planning. In his new role, he will be using this knowledge to establish short- and long-term goals, as well as oversee operational and sales strategies, corporate finances, human resources, and developing business at the manufacturing, industrial and retail levels.
Headquartered in Huntsville, IXS operates an accredited, world class research and development laboratory dedicated to the continued engineering of new, proprietary coating products. The company is known for its Ultimate Linings® and LINE-X® Protective Coatings brands, proven to provide durability and customized options for military/defense, oil and gas, light and heavy industrial, agricultural and marine applications. The lines are also used in commercial work trucks across multiple industries.
McConway has 30 years of experience in the automotive industry in various roles, including with Toyota Motor Sales USA, Toyota Financial Services, Gulf States Financial Services and Sky Alland Marketing.
