The Mobile City Council has unanimously approved a $1.25 million direct incentive to the developers of a Topgolf complex planned for Mobile’s McGowin Park Shopping Center. The $22 million complex will include 60 hitting bays, an outdoor patio, restaurant and more.  – AL.com

 

Lockhart Smokehouse to open in Huntsville this fall

Texas-based PBR Lockhard Smokehouse will open in Huntsville’s Bridge Street Town Centre this fall. The restaurant and bar, which has started hiring for more than 60 positions, includes barbecue and mechanical bull riding. – News 19

Alabama airports get $17.8 million

The Federal Aviation Administration has granted $17.8 million for improvements to Alabama airports, including reconstructed aprons at Mobile International Airport and Tuscaloosa National Airport. Other airports receiving grants include airports in Auburn, Prattville, Fort Payne, Birmingham, Clanton, Abbeville and Enterprise.  – Alabama Political Reporter

 

New Callahan Eye clinic opens

UAB Callahan Eye has opened a new clinic in Tuscaloosa at 1030 Fairfax Park. The clinic, which opened this week, is Callahan’s 18th clinic in the state. – University of Alabama at Birmingham
