Mobile Accounting Firm Merges with Carr, Riggs & Ingram

Russell Thompson Butler & Houston LLP, a firm with offices in Mobile and Baldwin counties, has merged with Carr, Riggs & Ingram LLC. The RTBH team joins more than 1,900 CRI professionals currently serving clients across the Southeastern and Southwestern United States.

RTBH was founded in Mobile in 1987 by Louis “Buddy” Russell, Michael Thompson, James Butler and Robert Houston. A full-service firm with accounting services, tax review, compilation and preparation, as well as general business consulting, the firm had approximately 3,000 clients, according to its website. It was ranked no. 26 on Business Alabama’s Largest Accounting Firms in Alabama, as ranked by number of CPAs, with 17 CPAs and 33 employees in Alabama.

CRI is one of the fastest-growing accounting and advisory firms in the nation, now operating in 31 markets across 10 states. Founded in 1997, CRI offers tax services to corporate entities, individuals and trusts with particular industry expertise delivered to healthcare, insurance and construction industry.
