John’s City Diner, a staple for 19 years in downtown Birmingham, has closed. That restaurant was preceded by John’s Restaurant, which had operated since 1944. – WBRC 6
Hiller Companies acquires Las Vegas company
Mobile-based The Hiller Companies, a provider of fire and life safety services, has acquired the service business of Nevada Fire Protection, based in Las Vegas. The deal includes sprinklers, fire alarms and a proprietary monitoring network. Hiller Companies also announced an acquisition in Missouri. – The Hiller Companies
