Nitto, an auto parts manufacturer, plans to lay off 56 employees when its Jasper plant closes in March. The company’s plans are on Alabama’s Department of Commerce’s WARN list. That list says the closure will happen by March 7. – AL.com
Mobile’s Perimeter Road will temporarily close
Mobile’s Perimeter Road at the Brookley Aeroplex will close Jan. 20 for about three weeks for road improvements. The project will include widening the roadway and installing new utilities at the entrance to the new Mobile International Airport Terminal and parking garage. – Mobile Airport Authority
