GolfSuites opening 2 Alabama locations in 2025

GolfSuites, a national golf-themed entertainment chain, plans to open its first two Alabama locations in 2025. Construction begins in August on a location in Opelika, and another is planned in Hoover. The complexes will include driving ranges, restaurants, bars, live music and more. – AL.com

USA lands grant for Alzheimer’s research

The University of South Alabama has received a $300,000 grant from the Coins for Alzheimer’s Research Trust to create a pilot study researching what USA scientists call a “highly understudied protein” linked to Alzheimer’s disease. Dr. Amy R. Nelson is leading the research effort. – News 5
