Inaugural EcoWild Outdoor Expo opens with ribbon-cutting

Expo showcases outdoor activities, conservation

A ribbon-cutting marked the opening of the EcoWild Outdoor Expo.

EcoWild Outdoor Expo, an expo showcasing natural resources, outdoor lifestyle gear and conservation initiatives, held a ribbon-cutting this morning to mark its opening.

The expo, which organizers call the only show of its kind on the Gulf Coast, will be open today until 6 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Mobile Convention Center. It’s produced by PMT Publishing, publisher of Mobile Bay magazine, Birmingham Home & Garden magazine and Business Alabama magazine, and presented by the Poarch Band of Creek Indians.

Activities at EcoWild will include a rock-climbing wall, kids’ fishing tank, hunter education demos, BB gun range, Dauphin Island Sea Lab BayMobile, Outdoor AL Conservation Classroom, butterfly encounter, alligator slide and more.

In addition, there will be exhibitors, door prizes, live entertainment, food trucks, bar and more.

Tickets to EcoWild are available online or at the Mobile Convention Center Box Office.
