Immediate, which offers employees access to earned wages before they might appear in a paycheck, announced its permanent headquarters will be in Homewood.
The location on Central Avenue will undergo extensive renovations, led by Chambless King Architects, and open in the summer of 2022.
“Birmingham has provided Immediate with a supportive startup community and innovative fintech ecosystem,” said Matt Pierce, founder and CEO of the company. “Additionally, as we work to provide more American workers with on-demand wage access, it makes sense for us to be in Birmingham where there are major healthcare systems and companies with thousands of employees who could benefit from financial solutions like Immediate.”
Immediate currently has offices in Innovation Depot in Birmingham. The company earned $100,000 in seed funding at the Economic Development Partnership of Alabama’s Alabama Launchpad competition.
