Women in construction increasing in Alabama

A survey by Today’s Home Owner shows that Alabama is one of seven Southern states in which the number of women in construction is increasing. South Carolina tops the list with 1 of 20 construction and extraction workers being women. Alabama and six other states are at 1 in 25. – Bama Buzz

Birmingham’s Economic Development & Tourism Committee agreed to fund Nextec, which will turn a downtown building into flexible workspace and collaboration areas. The space will be used for companies that come out of Innovation Depot, the business incubator. – Bham Now
