HudsonAlpha, Gener8tor name 5 companies to Agtech accelerator

Each startup will get investment of $100,000

Huntsville-based HudsonAlpha Institute for Biotechnology and Gener8tor have named five startup companies as part of the third cohort of the AgTech Accelerator.

The five companies, selected from hundreds of applicants from around the world, are Plants Without Borders, SetaTech, InTerra SmaTarget, COMU Labs and Harmony Dx. They’ll each participate in the 12-week accelerator and receive $100,000 investments.

”Supporting agriculture innovations is an area of deep importance for HudsonAlpha,” said Alex Cate, director of entrepreneurship programs at HudsonAlpha. “From mapping plant genomes and developing the next workforce of plant scientists, to supporting startups moving agriculture discoveries to market, HudsonAlpha is invested in the health of our agriculture economy.” The accelerator will conclude on Nov. 16, with an event showcasing each of the five startups. Founders will have the opportunity to pitch their companies to investors, community partners and the public.
