R.S. Reynolds' aluminum reduction plant in Listerhill was in production until 1980

R. S. Reynolds watches the first official tapping of aluminum at Reynolds’ Listerhill reduction plant in Colbert County in 1941. Reynolds, a North Carolinian, founded the U.S. Foil Company, which in 1947 introduced Reynolds Wrap.
