Architecture and engineering firm Goodwyn Mills Cawood has acquired PDC Consultants LLC, an aviation consulting firm based in Tennessee.
PDC specializes in the planning, design and construction of general aviation airports, primarily in Tennessee and Kentucky. The firm has worked on more than 400 general aviation projects since its inception in 2006 and currently has two projects in the planning stages.
“GMC and PDC’s shared commitment to core values, focus on providing personal service for their clients and unified team approach made this partnership seem like a natural fit,” said Tony Manci, PDC president.
PDC’s 13 employees will double the size of GMC’s aviation team and enhance its airport planning and engineering capabilities, as well as expand GMC’s footprint. GMC currently has locations throughout Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee.
“We believe our teams are truly stronger together, and this merger will greatly benefit both companies and those we serve,” said Ryan Pearce, Goodwyn Mills Cawood vice president of aviation. “We look forward to fully integrating their experienced team with ours and enhancing our services and expertise to further invest in our aviation clients.”
GMC’s aviation team plans, designs and manages airport programs for airports of all sizes, from small general airports and commercial service to military installations. In addition, GMC offers architecture, civil engineering, environmental services, landscape architecture, planning, transportation engineering, land acquisition, geotechnical engineering, electrical engineering, surveying and disaster recovery services.
