Orchestra Partners buys landmark Birmingham building
Birmingham-based Orchestra Partners has purchased the 10-story Frank Nelson Building for $33 million. Plans are to turn the building – once home to First National Bank of Birmingham and then Birmingham School of Law – into a 180-unit apartment community. NASCAR team creating new Apache seats
NASCAR’s Hendrick Motorsports is helping the U.S. Army’s Apache Attack Helicopter project office at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville create safer and more comfortable seats for pilots. Like racing cars, there is limited room in an Apache cockpit, and Hendrick has helped the Army take advantage of that space. – Forbes

Louisiana-based Lamar Advertising has opened a facility in Huntsville’s Jetplex Industrial Park. Lamar Advertising of North Alabama merges the company’s operations in Decatur and Huntsville.
