Hartselle is now home to a freestanding emergency room. The facility, operated by Cullman Regional Medical Center, opened this morning to provide emergency care for residents of Morgan County and surrounding communities.
The facility is equipped with 10 treatment rooms, a trauma room, ambulance bay, helipad, plus lab and imaging services that can help in diagnosis of heart attacks and strokes.
“Cullman Regional puts priority on providing high quality care which has led to our Cullman ER consistently beating state and national benchmarks for heart attack and stroke care,” said Dr. Bill Smith, Cullman Regional chief medical officer. “We’re bringing that same level of care to Hartselle.”
Cullman Regional received state permission to build the new facility in 2023.
“It’s a long process to bring services like this to Hartselle,” said James Clements, Cullman Regional CEO. “It requires tremendous teamwork and a strong financial commitment. We’re incredibly proud to be able to provide the community with the same high-quality ER care we offer in Cullman.”
