Global Resources International and its subsidiary Advanced Product Solutions plan to create 36 jobs through a $1.6 million expansion in Houston County. The company will use a building formerly occupied by Russell Corp. February home sales decline in Alabama

Home sales in February 2023 declined 22.3% over the previous February, according to the monthly Alabama Economic and Real Estate Report from Alabama Realtors. In addition, the median sale price of a house was $206,253, a decrease of 5.5% from a year ago. – Alabama Political Reporter

Andalusia company part of big Air Force contract

WB Construction in Andalusia is one of a group of companies awarded a $360 million U.S. Air Force contract. The contract is for construction at Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana. – Defense Daily

University of West Alabama plans amphitheater

The University of West Alabama plans to build a $450,000 amphitheater for faculty, students and staff. Construction is expected to start this summer and take six to eight months to complete. The amphitheater at the Livingston school will seat 500. – Bama Buzz
