Construction has started on a $31 million project to modernize the barracks at Fort McClellan Training Center in Anniston. The construction will replace 15 World War II-era barracks with new barracks, dining halls, administration buildings and battalion headquarters. Birmingham startup gets $3 million investment

A venture fund created by New Orleans Saints owner Gayle Benson is giving Birmingham startup Wyndy a $3 million investment. In addition, Missy Polhemus has been named Wyndy’s CEO. Wyndy is an app that helps families find and pay college-aged babysitters.  – AL.com
